Antique Japan Buddhist drum Taiko hand craft 1880s temple instrument.

Big size antique Japanese Buddhist Taiko drum made from single Kayaki wood tree stump, skins are worn but intact, still emitting good sound for temple use (distant thunder sound), used until recently, mice patina and surface. Solid wood structure, nice iron metal fittings. Historical instrument immediately usable.

Period: 1880 - 1900 Meiji era

Dimensions: H 40 cm, skin diameter 30 cm, total weight 6.330 Kg + wrapping
