Antique Japan Dagon kettle Tetsubin sand cast iron art 1800 lost wax craft

Antique Japanese cast iron kettle long spout and interesting shape, Tatsu dragon motif evolving on all sides, bronze lid. Lost wax technique cast iron. Very nice patina and design, superficial oxidation on surface and inner side, some wear from long usage and time, no fractures. Immediately usable with its original protective wood box.

Period: 1800 - 1850 late Edo era

Dimensions: H to handle 14.5 cm, max L 20 cm, volume 600 ml , weight  0.830 Kg + wood box and wrapping
