Antique Japan drum Shime Taiko Noh theater 1880s music instrument.

Japanese Noh theater drum Shime-Taiko, carved from single block of Keyaki wood with lacquered surface Momiji Maki-e decoration, skins have some wear  but tense and produce good sound with adjustable rope. Nice sound good conditions for its age. Immediately usable with Bachi hitters. (item will be shipped with skins dismounted in order to avoid damage)

Period: 1880 - 1900 Meiji era

Dimensions:  drum Diam 25 cm, skin Diam 34 cm, mounted drum weight 2.100 Kg + wrapping.

Conditions: good, some wear from usage. Please see photos.
