Antique Japan Bunchin bronze paper weight Shishi liondog 1800 lost wax craft

Antique Japanese Bunchin paper weight Shishi liondog, originally made to be a lid on a Bronze Koro chenser now the lid only can be used as decorative art or paper weight. Interesting character Shishi motif. Nice patina lost wax technique with hammered details sculpture, some wear from usage and time. Immediately usable. 

Period: 1800 Edo - Meiji era

Dimensions: H 4 Diam 5,5 cm, weight 0.110 Kg + wrapping
