A beautiful example of Meiji-era craftsmanship, this antique Japanese Imari Domburi bowl is richly hand-decorated in vibrant enamel colors. The centerpiece features an elegant Koi carps swimming among stylized waves, symbolizing perseverance and good fortune. Surrounding panels depict lively scenes of dogs, deer, and lush Imari-style vegetation, all finely detailed in traditional overglaze enamels.
This bowl is in very good antique condition, showing only light signs of age and use. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs—a rare find for a piece of this age. The bowl comes complete with its original protective wood box (which shows typical wear) and a wooden display stand, ready for display or practical use.
