Antique Japan Buddhist bronze temple bell 1909 temple Kougenji

Antique Japan bronze Temple bronze bell Bunshu, lost wax technique craft. Big size from Buddhist temple in central Japan, nice patina and design, maker inscription with date 1909 and donors family with member alive in 1800s.  Iron hook oxidation trace due to extensive exposure to elements visible on surface, some ware from long usage and handling, no fracture, very good sound (please request sound file).  Historical bell.

Period: November 1909 (明治四十一年十一月)


Dimensions: H 64 Diam 38 cm, total weight 44 kg + wrapping
