Antique Japan Yagen cast iron grinder 1700 Kampoyaku remedy

Antique Yagen Japanese bronze medicine grinder for Japanese remedy herbal medicine  (Kampoyaku 漢方薬 Japanese medicine). Cast iron lost wax technique craft, in use for a long perios of time with several antique hammered bronze restoration by blacksmith. Very interesting medical tool of Edo era Japan, nice patina and craft, extensive wear from usage and time. Item can still work for grinding, immediately usable.

Period: 1700 - 1800 mid Edo era

Dimensions:  L 45 H 16 cm, grinding weel Diam 24 cm,  total weight 5.260 Kg + wrapping
