Description:

Antique Japan Buddhist drum Taiko hand craft 1880s temple instrument.

Big size antique Japanese Buddhist Taiko drum made from single Kayaki wood tree stump, skins are worn but still retaining tension and vibration, used until recently, mice patina and surface. Solid wood structure, nice iron metal fittings. Historical instrument immediately usable with Bachi hitters.

Period: 1880 - 1900 Meiji era

Dimensions: H 45 cm, skin diameter 42 cm, total weight 10.610 Kg + wrapping

Conditions: good, wear from usage and time, nice sound. Please see photos.
