 Antique Japan Mochi-tsuki rice mortar 1800s Minimalist Japanese architecture.

Antique Mochi-tsuki rice mortat carved from a single gigant wood stamp of hard Japanese ceader tree. Utilized during temple festivals at one of Gifu shrines sfter rice harvest. Very good conditions with nice patina and aging, carpenter ax marks visible on bottom side, 3 handle like cut in to the surface. Japan furniture craft. Immediately usable.
