Antique Imari Domburi Bowl: Meiji Era Japanese Ceramic wood kiln craft

A beautiful example of Meiji-era craftsmanship, this antique Japanese Imari bowl with lid is richly hand-decorated in vibrant enamel colors. The centerpiece features the good auspicious inscription Kotobuki (寿) for good fortune and on its reverse a pomegranate. Surrounding panels depict ideal garden and Imari-style vegetation inspired from kimono patterns, all finely detailed in traditional overglaze enamels.

This bowl is in very good antique condition, showing only light signs of age and use. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs, original wood box with no lid—a rare find for a piece of this age. 

Period: Meiji Era, circa 1880–1920
Dimensions: Diameter 26 cm, Height 16 cm
Total Weight: 2.490 kg (plus wrapping and wood box)
Material: Hand-painted ceramic porcelain
