Japan Buddhist bronze temple bell 1948 temple Nakagawa

Japan bronze Temple bronze bell Bunshu, lost wax technique craft. Big size from Buddhist temple in central Japan Gifu, nice patina and design, bell maker (中川), temple patrons inscription and inscription date. Nice bronze oxidation from exposure to elements, some ware from long usage and handling, no fracture good sound (please request sound file). Immediately usable, in its original location until recently.

Period: October 1948 (昭和二十二年十月) possibly bell from earlier manufacture

Dimensions: bell H 59 Diam 35 cm, total weight 27 kg + wrapping
