Big Japan Usu Mochi-tsuki rice mortar 1800s Minimalist Japanese architecture.

Antique Usu Mochi-tsuki rice mortar carved from a single giant Keyaki wood stamp  Japanese cedar tree. Utilized during temple festivals after rice harvest. Very nice patina and carving marks, good conditions and aging, carpenter ax marks visible on all side, 2 handles like cut in, no insect holes. Japan furniture craft. Immediately usable.
