Vintage Japanese Bizen / Shigaraki Style Mizusashi Water Jar with Lacquer Lid 1970

Rustic Japanese Mizusashi (fresh water jar), traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony (chanoyu). Craftsmanship: unglazed stoneware with natural wood-ash glaze effects (yohen), coarse clay texture, and applied lug handles (mimi). It comes complete with a fitted black lacquered wooden lid.

- Material: High-fired Stoneware Clay, Lacquered Wood Lid
