Antique Japan sculpture lost wax craft 1880 Zinc alloy art

Japanese sculpture peasant farmer social Japanese late Meiji  art, highly naturalistic style, Tokyo workshops (Genryusai Seiya ?). This sculpture features exceptional realism, capturing lifelike facial wrinkles, hair details, and deep folds in the traditional short robe.
Lost wax technique craft, medium good conditions, some wear from time and handling, small damage by the neck and the tool holding hole. Nice patina and depiction of a Japanese rural character.

Period: 1880 - 1910 late  Meiji - Taisho era

Dimensions: H 29 cm, total weight  1.940 kg + wrapping
