Koi carp Japan wood carving sculpture 1950 fireplace Jizai rural craft.

Fine Japanese Koi carp wood carving for Jizai fire place kettle holder, Nurimono lacquer finishing, nice character, sear from usage and time, wood expansion on bottom from usage, carved from single block of wood. Jizai carp  rural craft. Nice details and  patina with natural wood aging markings.

Period: 1950s

Dimensions: L 92 cm, weight 7.200 Kg + wrapping
