Antique Hinomaru Japan rising sun scroll painting Toyohiko 1800

Antique Japanese Kakejiku Zen painting water color on fine silk, for Japanese New Year use, rising sun among waves (昇旭波濤図,日の出). Symbol of good auspice for the New Year. Minimalist Zen composition, watercolor technique on silk,  sealed and signed by (澄神斎豊彦) Chōshinsai Toyohiko. Nice silk borders, Immediately usable with its protective Kiri wood box.

Period: 1800 - 1845

Dimensions: H 207 W 65 cm, weight 1.400 Kg + wrapping
