Antique Japanese Buddhist lantern Tsuridoro temple lamp dated 1698 bronze craft

Antique Japanese Buddhist temple alter bronze lamp Tsuridoro, hand craft manufacture made from hammered bronze plaques, dragon motif ornamentation. Front door inscription reporting date: (元禄十年二月) and multiple erased names due to the change of patrons. Extensive wear from usage and time, old restorations, recent paper replacement, in original conditions as found. Inner bronze oil lamp wick holder still usable. Buddhist temple lantern antique Tsurudoro early Edo era Japan.

Period: Feb 1698 dated on door (元禄十年二月)

Dimensions: total H 36 Diam 33 cm, weight 2.080 Kg + wrapping.

Conditions:  medium good, extensive wear from usage and time, old sediments and antique restorations, please see all photos.
