Antique Japan Buddhist sculpture Jizobusatsu shrine 1816 Edo era craft

Antique Japanese Buddhist shrine temple sculpture: Jizobusatsu, deity, good conditions, wear from extensive exposure and usage. Deity figurine is covered with layers of sut from extensive temple use, probably older that its Zushi container (1700). Wood carving and lacquer gold leaf technique. External Zushi shine container in good conditions inscription on back with date. Nice patina, in original conditions as found, dust sediments, from rural Buddhist temple central Japan. Period: dated July 1816 Edo era (文化十二年七月)
