Japanese Tataki-Dai stand hard wood Keyaki 1880 interior

Japanese heavy Keyaki wood speaker stand Tataki-Dai. Carved from one single wood block, used for speech support over lower attendance inside Tatami rooms, repeatedly hit with symbolical utensils, such as fans or pipes during a passionate speech by a hierarchical figure. Tataki-Dai hollowed above the arch in order to perform a sound when strike. Some wear from usage and time, good conditions, one side slightly lower. Please see detail photos, immediately usable as stand, Japan interior.
