Antique Zen Kyoto Kano school master Takanobu painting on paper flying Dragons among thunderclouds, Sumi ink and Fude brush technique. Very expressive and evocative composition made for Buddhist temple. Sealed and signed by Kano Takanobu 1571 - 1618 (狩野孝信). Wear from exposure and long handling, in original conditions as found. Historical Japan Buddhist temple work of art.

Period: late 1700 - 1800s Edo era

Dimensions: each scroll H 176  W 52 cm, total weight 1.260 Kg + wrapping.
