Antique Japanese garden lantern cast iron Toro 1880 Wabisabi Japan lantern craft

Antique cast iron Japanese garden lamp Toro (灯篭), traditional Japanese garden decoration, cast iron technique, nice character. Extended oxidation, extensive wear from time, long usage and  exposure, usable in current conditions. War hinges have been substituted with copper wire by previous owner. The lump can still work with candle or electric light.

Period: 1880 - 1920 Meiji - Taisho era

Dimensions:  top ring H 29 cm, top Diam 32.5 cm, total weight 6.410 Kg + wrapping

Conditions: medium poor, extended oxidation, wear from time and exposure, please see all photos.
