Zen Chanting bell Japan Buddhist bronze rural mountain temple 1800 temple craft

Antique Japanese Buddhist chanting bell for rural mountain Buddhist temple, nice sound and patina, extensive wear from usage and time, several old restorations visible on inner side. Nice hammered surface, item comes with rope base and wood Bachi hitter. Temple patrons inscription at top rim: from the Fuji village (主井 藤宇市).
Nice long sound, immediately usable, nice character, extensive wear from long usage.

Period: 1800 - 1880 Edo/Meiji era

Dimensions: Diam 18 H 12 cm, total weight 0.720 Kg + wrapping

Conditions: medium poor, wear from extensive usage and time, old restorations, please see all photos.
