Japanese esoteric Buddhism shrine Myoken Butsuzo sculpture heavenly guardian deity seated on lotus, wood carving with pigment and gold leaf, in original conditions from Shrine. Bottom inscription: Buddhist writing referring to Tanshu-ji temple (Nagano), made by Great Master Dairitsu-shi (temple monk) Nice patina and aging, rural Buddhist temple craft. Good conditions, some wear from time and usage. Historical sculpture.

Period: from inscription: "auspicious day of August 1926"
