Antique Japanese Buddhist lantern Tsuridoro temple lamp dated 1847 bronze craft

Antique Japanese Buddhist temple alter bronze lamp Tsuridoro, hand craft manufacture made from hammered bronze plaques, dragon motif ornamentation. Bottom inscription reporting date and makers name: Ohira (大平) from the village of Gobemura (Nigata). Wear from extensive usage and time, old sediments and antique restoration, in original conditions as found. Buddhist temple lantern antique Tsurudoro Edo era Japan.

Period: May 1847 dated on bottom (弘化四年五月)

Dimensions: total H 46 Diam 39 cm, weight 2.900 Kg + wrapping.

Conditions:  medium good, wear from extensive usage and time, old sediments and antique restorations, please see all photos.
