Antique Kyodai Japan portable make up mirror stand 1850 Edo Maiko

Fine craft antique Kyodai makeup mirror with 2 bronze mirrors, all in good working conditions.  Foldable mirror stadn in very good conditions, decorated with Maki-e floral motif, light wear from long usage. Bronze mirror poor reflection, in need of polishing for proper use. The large size is placed on the stand wile the smaller one is held in the hand for back makeup. Each bronze decorated with Matsu pine trees motif symbol of perseverance, and longevity.

Overall in good conditions, in original conditions as found. Edo era Geisa tools.

Period: 1850 - 1900 Edo-Meiji era

Dimensions: stand H 33 cm, mirror diameters 14 - 9 cm, total weight 0.970 Kg + wrapping
