Antique bamboo stump carving Japanese turtle sculpture 1800s Japan art craft

Antique Japanese bamboo stump high quality carving, turtle shape with lid made from hard bamboo stump, alle parts are carved from same single bamboo stump. Very nice craft and patina, artist utilized the natural shape of the bamboo to obtain shape and texture. On bottom and inner side bamboo natural sections visible. Item is in original conditions as found. With very nice quality wood box.
