Antique Japanese Buddhist temple chanting Taiko standing drum from Gifu area shrine, nice patina and iron metal fittings, very well preserved with Bachi hitter. Skins have very good tension and produce nice deep sound. Solid wood structure with all interlocking joints in good conditions, some wear marks from long usage. Historical instrument in original conditions as found.
