Antique Japan Karuta Hyakunin-isshu 1850s card game.

Antique set of Japanese Karuta Hyakunin-isshu in good conditions with original wood box and paper covers. Each card is hand painted with woodblock print, Japanese poetry and characters. Box with some wear marks from time and usage, inner cards are well preserved. Historical item, immediately usable.

Period: 1850s - 1880s

Dimensions: card size 7 x 4 cm,  total weight 0.550Kg + wrapping

Conditions: good, well preserved cards, wood box with wear marks from time and usage, please see photos.
