Antique Japanese calligraphy letters washi paper Edo era 1700s Japan.
Antique Washi paper calligraphy letters joined together in to a single sheet of paper, top side has been reinforced with a straw rope and coins as decorative pendant. The inscriptions seem to be concerning every day life affairs (hard to interpreted) the sheet seems to look like some kind of tent or shade but the attached coins (6) shows it must have hade some decorative purpuse. The sheet has been discovered folded with wear on the exposed folds. Wear from long usage and time, bottom with severe wear. Very interesting historical document of Edo Japan.
