Japan antique Tegami-ire lacquer box 1800 Japanese Maki-e Edo craft.

Antique Japanese lacquered wood Japanese formal letter box with Maki-e lacquer with gold and silver Maki-e floral and phenix decoration, refined work with bronze chrysanthemum applications. The item has been restored several times with lacquer Urushi-nori, nice historical item with wear from time and long usage. Immediately usable, nice work of art.

Period: late 1700 early 1800
 Edo period

Dimensions: 23.5 x 8 x 5 cm, 9/2 x 3 x 2 inch, total weight 0.170 Kg + wrapping.
