Antique Japanese Buddhist temple bronze bell 1856s Japan edo Era craft.
Very nice antique Buddhist bell with nice patina and design , dated April 11th 1856s with dedication to Buddhist monk Aokiujigenjinshi from and for Konou temple (奉納) hanging in front of the Deity chamber hall were devotees prayers were performed by striking the bell repeatedly. Nice historical item, nice sound.
Period: dated April 11th 1856s
Dimensions: W 14 cm, bronze weight 0.300 Kg + box and wrapping.
Conditions: good, very nice patina, light wear marks from long usage and time, no fractures. Please see photos.
